Will this be the season where Everton

are finally put out of their misery and go down?

Op...fingers crossed

Yes. The have got progressively worse for 3 or 4 years now surviving by skin of their teeth. I think this season they will go. Theyve done nowhere near enough in thr transfer market to suggest theyll do better.

Weve see this before with big clubs where the rot sets, they ride their luck for a few seasons before it atches up with them. Newcastle sunderland villa all spring to mind. Everton are going the exact same way as them.

They'll probably tempt Graham Potter to manage them in a couple of months and avoid a points deduction which seems incredible with the debts they've racked up but the FA/EPL seem to treat them more leniently and survive again on the last day of the season.

I don’t thinks so. But I quite like that they’re on perpetual purgatory.

They're worse than the Leicester side that went down last season. Its them, Fulham or Wolves to join Luton and Sheff U imo

They’ve been a top flight club since the early to mid 50s. I think only Arsenal can better that record (over a century of consecutive seasons in the top division).

It would be a shame for them to drop out for this reason, but what is a major worry for them is the new stadium build - how much that will hamper them financially, even with top flight football, only time will tell. They are scraping by as it is and have been scraping by for far too long now, and relegation at this time could really screw the club over in this respect.

I hope they stay up. They are one of the biggest clubs in England, and the Prem is better from a reputation perspective having Everton in it. But putting “romance” and history to one side, they have been poor for far too long and it does seem inevitable that they will eventually suffer the fate of relegation. This season I think it will happen. Sadly for them.

He can experience consecutive relegations before the age of 21.

Seriously though. Refusing to play for a relegated club and demanding to move to another club that genuinely look like relegation material ...... will he refuse to play for them in the championship too? Genuinely starting to look like muppet is Willy.

Tbf, they battered Fulham last week. Really unlucky to lose that one.

Aye and tbf that goal ruled out for Leno jumping into Tarkowski and dropping the ball was daylight robbery . Leno was motm made many saves but got away with that howler tthanks to shocking premier league officiating.
